Overview

The 8-semester programme consists of 4 semesters at International Business School in Budapest followed by semester 5 and 6 at Dublin Business School in Dublin, Ireland.
Semester 7 and 8 are compulsory work placement.
(The tuition fee of EUR 3700/semester must be paid for 6 semesters, there is no tuition fee payment for semester 7 and 8.)

Graduates of this double Hungarian and Irish degree programme will be prepared to enter the international labour market with advanced skills in developing and analysing the strategic, financial and market processes of international business organisations and addressing business challenges.

You will start with the fundamentals of business and at later stages also learn about the regional impact of globalisation processes; international trade and diplomatic organizations; various aspects of international marketing, finance, and people management; and develop skills required for working in international teams and negotiating in a multicultural environment.

In addition to providing a solid foundation in economic and management theory, the programme is highly practice-oriented. The seminars are always interactive, where tasks, assignments, and discussions prepare students for thinking and working both individually and together in teams.

The knowledge of professional English business language enables graduates to succeed in the world of international economics and global business.

This can be further enhanced by a two-semester study at Dublin Business School in Ireland where you can acquire an Irish BSc (Hons.) in Business (Global Business) in addition to your Hungarian BSc degree in International Business Economics awarded by IBS.

You can also opt to take part in the Erasmus+ programme while studying at IBS.

Career opportunities

Through this programme, you will have insights into a breadth of issues and areas in international business and management ranging from finance, marketing, HR, organisational behaviour to operations and project management.

As a consequence, you will be able to make a positive contribution to a range of internationally oriented settings. You are as likely to find yourself working in a small, privately-owned company engaging in international trade as you are to work for a large multinational corporation, a global non-govermental organisation or perhaps even run your own business.
